Chapter 1 - Electric Charges and Fields

Chapter 5 - Magnetism and Matter

In the previous chapter, you have studied about magnetism. This chapter extends the topic and explains it deeply. In this chapter, you will learn about the bar magnet, Gauss’s law, permanent magnets, electromagnets, etc.

Chapter 6 - Electromagnetic Induction

You have learned about electricity and magnetism in the previous chapters. In this chapter, you will learn about electromagnetic induction, Faraday experiment, Lenz’s law, Eddy current, Inductance, etc. Electromagnetic induction has a lot of applications in real-life.

Chapter 7 - Alternate Current

This chapter explains about AC voltage, phasor, Inductor, capacitors, LC oscillations, etc. There are a total of 9 topics in this chapter. All these topics have been discussed in detail and help you to understand more about alternating current.

Chapter 8 - Electromagnetic Waves

Electromagnetic waves are waves that are produced as a result of vibrations between an electric field and a magnetic field. In this chapter, you will be learning displacement current, electromagnetic spectrum, etc. Further, you will learn about Maxwell’s equation of electromagnetic waves and the uses of electromagnetic waves.

Chapter 9 - Ray Optics and Optical Instruments

Chapter 10 - Wave Optics

In the previous chapter, you have learned about ray optics. In this chapter, you will be learning about wave optics. The chapter has many important topics viz., Huygen,s principle, Refraction and Reflection of Plane Waves using Huygens Principle, Interference of Light Waves and Young’s Experiment, etc. Further, the chapter explains diffraction and polarisation.

Chapter 11 - Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter

The chapter mainly explains the dual nature of Radiation and Matter. It has a total of nine topics that are very important for you. In this chapter, you will learn about the Photoelectric effect, the wave theory of light, wave nature of matter, etc.

Chapter 12 - Atoms
